Chelsea and Edithvale are two linked suburbs on Port Phillip Bay to the south-east of Melbourne. They are beach side suburbs that once upon a time people drove through to heading to the southern end of the Mornington Peninsula, although the fact is that the clear white sands on the beach are absolutely second to none. In recent times the suburbs have been discovered as perfect and great value for residential loving with easy access via the train line and convenient stations right along the line. For mobility scooter users, the suburbs are completely flat which makes getting around very easy, if not actually onto the beach. Local Jean has lived in Edithvale for forty years; and said, “I have lived here for 40 years and brought up my family here. With pretty Mordialloc within easy distance on my scooter I have the convenience of good shopping, dining and services without the hustle and bustle. Two or three times a year, I’ll drive my scooter to Edithvale station and catch the train into the city- couldn’t be easier!”
